The term “wellness” has English roots and corresponds to the phrase “be well”. As for the word “wellness”, it is translated as “feeling good”. For the first time this concept appeared in 1959 thanks to the American doctor Halbert Dunn. It was he who compiled and systematized the basic principles of a healthy lifestyle. For a long time, the direction was popular only in the USA and only at the beginning 90s years, it begins to develop in Europe and gradually reaches Russia.

Thus, wellness is a concept of elements of a healthy lifestyle, which includes moderate physical activity, taking into account psychological aspects and adherence to the basics of proper nutrition.

The basic principles of the “philosophy of wellness” are as follows:

    Traffic

    mental activity

    Body care

    Inner harmony

    Balanced diet.

Despite the fact that fitness and wellness are almost the same concepts, there are many differences between them. Fitness program — This is primarily a system of training aimed at correcting the figure. As for wellness, it’s not just the desire to be healthy and slim — it’s a whole philosophy and worldview, where sports are just one of the ways to achieve harmony with your own body.

The wellness program includes several elements:

Thanks to the versatile components of the concept, wellness activities are not only useful, but also enjoyable. And since an integrated approach is taken into account, special equipment is used within the direction to achieve the best result from classes. For those who prefer active training, various vacuum trainers, toning feet and balance-platforms. For passive procedures, massage beds, infrared radiation sessions, as well as aromatherapy and stone therapy are used.

Wellness clubs is something more than ordinary Fitness Centre. They are open to those who wish to normalize not only their body, but also their emotional state. People come here for beauty and inner harmony.

After doing physical exercises, relax in a luxurious room with pleasant music, drink a cup of green tea and enjoy a Thai massage — this is exactly what the wellness concept looks like, which undoubtedly wins in comparison with the usual aerobic exercise, especially when it comes to residents of megacities. Frequent stress at work, malnutrition and a sedentary lifestyle — alas, a short vacation will not be able to fully restore the body. Therefore, wellness comes to the rescue — a program of health and well-being.
