The term “well­ness” has Eng­lish roots and cor­re­sponds to the phrase “be well”. As for the word “well­ness”, it is trans­lat­ed as “feel­ing good”. For the first time this con­cept appeared in 1959 thanks to the Amer­i­can doc­tor Hal­bert Dunn. It was he who com­piled and sys­tem­atized the basic prin­ci­ples of a healthy lifestyle.
